Found it Dad and the Dynamic Duo found Hard as PI (Multi-cache)

Came in ahead of our planned schedule for completion of Stage 4...we couldn't stay away!

We planned this one out to be #50 for us and it also appears that we are also the 10th to find the final stage. Looking back through the logs, we are in good company with some of the area's most elite Cachers. We were proud to sign the log book after you guys.

Brief re-cap of our adventure with Pi:

Three trips over 8 days with 8 other local caches mixed in for good measure. We have grown to like this area for caching quite a bit and will certainly come back.

Despite the comments from fellow Pi People, we struggled as much with Stage 1 as Stage 3. Though we seem to have found Stage 3 easier than most.

Stage 2 was our favorite hidding spot, followed by Stage 3. It was quite clever and unexpected.

Stage 4, for us, was relatively easy to find once the solution was in hand. I have not used that part of my math skills since my high school honors program. I was pleased that I had enough of a recollection that I was able to research the final solution. I am reasonably certain that even had we brought the correct tools that we could not have solved it in the field.

Markwell, thanks for the wonderful journey and the opportunities to begin seeing more of your local area.

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
